Missing a turn on the Base Trail at Pinnacle Mountain State Park carries hikers onto a fishing and park maintenance path. The often muddy path was part of the original Base Trail that stretched from the day-use area to the East Summit trailhead but today it leads to confusion ... or the Arkansas Arboretum.
