Awards Banquet

Drew Brees, Super Bowl winning quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, will be the keynote speaker for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's All Arkansas Preps awards banquet, sponsored by St. Vincent. Brees will speak at the event and take part in presenting the athletes’ awards. The banquet will be held on Saturday, June 7 at the Wally Allen Ballroom in the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. Tickets, if available, can be purchased here

The event will honor more than 300 high school athletes from across the state who have excelled in one of the nine sports. Keith Jackson, a native Arkansan and NFL star, and David Bazzel, former Arkansas Razorback and current radio co-host, will have important roles in the program at the banquet.

New this year is a the All Arkansas Preps Athlete Meet and Greet, sponsored in part by Army ROTC, which will take place from 5-6 p.m. in the North Foyer of the Statehouse Convention Center. Refreshments, live music by the Army National Guard Jazz ensemble, a photo booth and free Preps shirts from St. Vincent will be at this pre-event. Athletes must be registered at the event and in this area by 6:15 p.m.

Another new addition to the event this year is the Parade of Athletes which will take place during the program at 6:30 p.m. In addition, there will be a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia to benefit the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

The event is sponsored in part by Arkansas Select Buick GMC Dealers, First Security Bank, Academy Sports and Outdoors, Sweetin Industries, Dillard's and Deltic Timber. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased here . A limited number of individual tickets are available, and tickets include a seated dinner.

BAthletes who have been selected for All Arkansas Preps MUST REGISTER for their banquet ticket by June 2. Seating can't be guaranteed after this date. Parents are also strongly encouraged to order their tickets as soon as possible. Information on the athlete and parent tickets has been sent to you after the teams were announced. Athletes are to check-in at the event from 5-6 p.m. to receive their seating assignments, certificate and other information and must be at the Athlete Meet and Greet by 6:15 p.m.

Due to the state tournament schedules, the athletes for these sports will not be selected until May 20th (Track) and May 30th (all others). Please check the athlete page on these dates to see if you or your athlete has made the team and IMMEDIATELY call or email us at or call 501-378-3807 so we can get the ticket information to you. We will be calling schools, coaches and athletic directors to try to reach the athlete, but it is important due to the timing of the announcement to reach out to us as well.
