The UCA Community School of Music will be hosting a Rock Camp

The UCA Community School of Music will be hosting a Rock Camp July 6-10.
Camp director is Smokey Emerson, professor of guitar at UCA, according
to Jann Bryant, CSM director.

Rock Camp is an intense week long program for guitarists, bassists,
vocalists, and drummers at varying levels of instruction. The camp is
for students, ages 12-18, with a minimum of six months playing
experience. Activities include morning assembly, classes, band
rehearsals, sectionals, group activities, games and fun time. A trip to
a local recording studio is also scheduled.

The camp begins July 6th and runs through the 10th, and will culminate
with a concert on Friday night, July 10th. Camp hours are from 9:00 am-
until 5:00 pm; drop-off is the front entrance of the UCA Snow Fine Arts
Center. Students will meet in the lobby on the first day by 8:45 am for
registration check-in; all participants will receive a camp t-shirt and
each student will be given a detailed schedule of classes, room
schedule, and music on the first day of camp.

The *Early Bird* tuition rate is $275 if students register by June
25th. Tuition is $300 after June 25 through 9:00 am July 6th.

For further information and a camp registration form, contact the CSM
office at 501-450-5755 or 450-3672, or email Ms. Bryant at
