Faculty members to present recitals at Hendrix

Four members of the Hendrix College Music Department faculty will perform upcoming recitals. Concerts will be given by the following faculty members:

John Dahlstrand will present a bass recital on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. Dahlstrand teaches as part of the string faculty. He also plays bass for the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and co-founded his double bass and harp chamber music ensemble, Duo Millenia.

Dr. Norman Boehm will present a piano recital on Monday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. Boehm teaches piano, music theory, and composition for the college. He specializes in music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition to performing as a soloist and chamber musician, he is also a composer, arranger and conductor.

Ansley Fleming will present a piano recital on Sunday, March 28 at 3 p.m. Fleming serves as the college organist and organ instructor. He has been a recitalist for conventions of the American Guild of Organists and the American Liszt Society, and he has been heard on Pipedreams, a nationally syndicated National Public Radio program.

Dr. John Krebs will present a piano recital on Monday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. Krebs teaches piano, accompanying, music history and literature, and opera at Hendrix. He has served as an official accompanist for divisional and national Music Teachers National Association, MTNA, competitions and recently completed a term as president of the Arkansas State Music Teachers Association.

All recitals will occur in Reves Recital Hall on the Hendrix College campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
