“Guess How Much I Love You” and “I Love My Little Story Book”

Walton Arts Center is excited to welcome back Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia for a double-billed adaptation of “Guess How Much I Love You” and “I Love My Little Story Book” on Friday, December 14 at 6:30 pm in Baum Walker Hall. Tickets range from $10 - $20 and can be purchased by calling the Walton Arts Center Box Office at 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.

Based on the award-winning classic from author Sam McBratney and illustrator Anita Jeram, “Guess How Much I Love You” features Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare comparing their love in a way only a parent and child can. In “I Love My Little Storybook,” written and illustrated by Jeram, an eager little bunny lies in the grass with his favorite book. As the stories come to life with a menagerie of colorful animals and imaginary creatures, so will children’s imaginations as this whimsical story inspires a love of reading and story time.

This performance features the work of director and production designer Jim Morrow, composer Steven Naylor, and is narrated by Beau Bridges. Mermaid Theatre's production has been enjoyed by parents, teachers and critics alike, being described as “…a cheerfully inclusive introduction to the theatre for the very young.” by The Stage.

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia is one of North America’s most respected theatres for children, regularly crossing the continent and the world to bring great children’s stories to life. Founded in 1972, they have performed thousands of times everywhere from Australia to Vietnam. Audiences familiar with Mermaid Theatre can expect the same attention to detail that has won international acclaim for the company.

This performance is part of the Walton Arts Center Kids Series, and is recommended for ages three to six, as well as being an infant friendly show. Media support is provided by KNWA with additional support from Lee and Linda Scott. For more information about this performance visit waltonartscenter.org.
