150th anniversary of the Civil War Skirmish at Ashley Mills
On September 14, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Scott Plantation Settlement in Scott, Arkansas will recognize the 150th anniversary of the Civil War Skirmish at Ashley Mills. A historical marker describing the skirmish is located on the Scott Plantation Settlement Property. Activities include free guided tours of the Scott Plantation Settlement; lectures by historian, Paul Fray; Reenactment demonstrations, including field embalming procedures; open house at All Souls Church; tour of Scott Heritage Farm at 2:30 p.m. The Scott Plantation Settlement is located at 15525 Alexander Road, Scott, Arkansas, 72142
