FOCAL Used Book Sale
It's hot outside, but the deals at the Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries (FOCAL) Used Book Sale are even hotter. Paperbacks are $0.50, and hardbacks are $1. The sale will be held in the basement of the Main Library, 100 Rock Street, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 25 - 26, and 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday, July 27. FOCAL members may enter at 9 a.m. on Friday and Saturday; FOCAL memberships will be available at the door. Teachers and librarians with institutional identification will receive an additional 25% off their purchases in the Main Library basement.
An early shopping party will be held at River Market Books & Gifts, 120 River Market Avenue, from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 24. FOCAL memberships will be available at the door. FOCAL members will receive a 50% discount on "gently read" books at River Market Books & Gifts from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday. The 25% teacher discount does not apply at River Market books & Gifts.
