Lake Ouachita First Day Hikes
Start off 2015 on the right foot (or left foot) with a hike along the trails of Lake Ouachita State Park. Take a self-guided walk along the half-mile Dogwood Trail or participate in free guided hikes on the Caddo Bend Trail. The event is from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm with hikes beginning every 15 minutes until 10:00 am. All guided hikes will be led by members from the Ouachita Mountain Hikers, park staff and volunteers. Participants get a First Day Hike event button and may enter a drawing for a custom hiking stick to be given away at noon.
