In its fourth year, the Argenta Arts Festival, formerly Thea Arts Festival, will feature artists whose works include basketry, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, print making, metal, wood, leather and sculpture. Artist applications are available upon request from dhardcastle@argentadc.org. Other activities will include artist demonstrations and hands-on activities for kids to create their own art. The arts festival is free and open to the public. The Argenta Arts Festival will be held in conjunction with the North Little Rock Maker Faire Festival. The Maker Faire, held adjacent to the Arts Festival, is a community based learning event that inspires everyone to become a maker. Makers include tech enthusiasts, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, students, entrepreneurs and artists. The Argenta Art and NLR Maker Faire Festivals are where art meets science. Event attendees will be entertained with live music at the Argenta Branch Laman Library; and the Argenta Farmers Market will be open providing locally grown fresh produce and products.
