The Delta Artists Association Exhibit is in progress and on Feb 11th we held their reception and announced the winners. Here is information for the article. Guachoya Cultural Art Center announced the winners of the Delta Artists Association at the reception on February 11th. Despite the snowfall and wet conditions, we enjoyed an evening of excitement as the winners of the judged exhibit. The artists were judged in three categories. The First place winner of "Works On Canvas" is Noel Harris of Greenville fro his "Ballerina Stretching", and Second Place winner is Duff Durrough of Ruleville for his "The Chinaman Store". The First Place winner of "Work On Paper" is Janice Dean of Brandon, Ms. for her "Autumn Bouquets with Butterflies" and Second Place winner is Lynda Trammell of Glen Allan, Ms. for her "A Moment In The Sun". In 3-D Art category the First Place win goes to Randy New of Glen Allan, Ms. for his "Pedestal Box" carved of purple heart and willow and Second Place is Richard Dattel of Greenville for his ceramic "Pottery Vessel". Peers Choice Award goes to Monty McGee for his "Morgan Falls" and the People's Choice Award goes to Cherie Clark for "Step One, Two, Three". This exhibit will be held through March and everyone is invited to Guachoya Cultural Art Center on Hwy 65 & 82 in Lake Village to view this exquisite exhibit.
