The THEA Foundation is proud announce “Party with Pastel” taking place at THEA Foundation Center for the Arts during Argenta’s 3rd Friday Night ArtWalk, October 15th from 5:30-8pm. “Party with Pastel” will include a meet and greet with participating members of the Arkansas Pastel Society’s First Annual Juried Exhibition, pastel demos, and a pastel kids corner! Two pastel artists will be demonstrating pastel techniques from 6:30-7:30pm. Susan Hurst will be doing a live portrait demonstration and Melanie Johnston will demonstrate landscape techniques. Children and adults will have the opportunity to learn about and use pastels from 5:30-8pm! Pastel artist Diana Shearon will host the pastel kids corner. Pastels and paper will be provided free of charge! All events are free will take place inside the THEA Foundation Center for the Arts, 401 Main Street, Ste. 100, North Little Rock, AR 72114. TheTHEArtists Gallery/Studios will also host a meet and greet with the artists from 5:30-8pm on the 2nd Floor of the THEA Foundation Center for the Arts. All events are free and open to the public. THEArtists welcomes the talent of Ted Parkhurst, Austin Grimes, Morgan Coven, Catherine Burton, and Robin Steves. The artists will be available to discuss their new works during 3rd Friday ArtWalk, October 15th. The Arkansas Pastel Society’s First Annual Juried Exhibition will remain on view during regular gallery hours (Monday-Friday 9-5pm) until October 29th, 2010. “Party with Pastel” is sponsored by the Arkansas Pastel Society and the THEA Foundation.
