June 28, 2013 11:16 a.m.

The Friends of the Paul Weaver Library at Ozarka College had the group’s second Literary Reading and Art Extravaganza: Tour D’Art on April 18 in Ozarka College’s John E. Miller Education Complex. Artwork included a wide variety of two- and three-dimensional works from artists across the area. Displayed works included paintings, sculptures, ceramics, handmade jewelry, Native American stone art and painted gourds. Musical entertainment was provided throughout the event by the Shamanic Drum Circle, led by Margeah Bey, a Friends of the Library member who has performed in and led drum circles for more than 10 years. The Friends of the Paul Weaver Library hosts this yearly event to promote literature and the arts in Izard County and surrounding areas.
