Buffalo River tributary in Mount Judea

A fundraising rally and feast for opponents of a factory hog farm along the banks of a Buffalo River tributary in Mount Judea took place at the Robinwood home of the Rev. Betsy Singleton and Vic Snyder Sept. 12. Liz Caldwell, president of the canoe club, said the event raised $17,000. The group Earthjustice and local lawyer Hank Bates are working without compensation, but there are still costs associated with litigation, she said.
