Opus 29

November 21, 2013 1:01 p.m.

Aided in part by the beautiful evening inside the Forbes four-star Capital Hotel, with a meal orchestrated by Joel Antunes and delivered by the staff of Ashley’s, several hundred symphony supporters made Opus 29 one of the serendipitous ever, sipping cocktails and bidding on auctioned trips and jewelry and a “four seasons” movable feast in Edgehill (four Edgehill couples, four seasons, four separate dinner parties!). After dinner, they danced along to the symphony’s Big Band with singer Shirley Chauvin as they progressed through a set list of jazz and popular hits that included “Deed I Do” by Fred Rose, “Just the Way You Are” by Billy Joel, and “Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White” by Perez Prado, until midnight.
