LEGAL NOTICE
The regular monthly meeting of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the Little Rock Office Complex, 2 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205. At that time, regulations and business pertaining to the operation of the Game and Fish Commission and other fiscal and administrative matters will be considered and acted upon, and all interested persons are invited to attend. Additionally, Committee meetings attended by Commissioners and agency staff members will be held throughout the day on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the same location, and all interested persons are invited to attend.
Items on the agenda for the December 18, 2014, 9:00 a.m. meeting will include adoption of proposed regulations previously considered at the November 20, 2014, Commission Meeting, plus various Hunting and Fishing Regulations and regulations pertaining to the Enforcement Division of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, including, but not limited to:
Wildlife Management Regulations - Adoption of general wildlife regulation changes, including adopting a regulation prohibiting the importation of firewood onto Commission-owned Wildlife Management Areas (previously adopted as an emergency regulation on September 18, 2014).
Fishing Regulations - Adoption of general fishing regulation changes including:
1) Cane Creek Lake (Lincoln County) - On May 15, 2014, the Commission reduced the daily limit for all sportfish on Cane Creek Lake by one-half during the lake drawdown from July through December 2014 (the crappie daily limit was reduced to 7). The lake has now substantially refilled and this regulation change is to restore the original daily limits for all sportfish (crappie daily limit will be returned to 15).
1) Lake Chicot (Chicot County) - On May 15, 2014, the Commission reduced the daily limit for all sportfish (except catfish) on Lake Chicot by one-half during the lake drawdown from July through December 2014 (the crappie daily limit was reduced to 10). The lake has now substantially refilled and this regulation change is to restore the original daily limits for all sportfish (crappie daily limit will be returned to 20).
All persons wishing to be heard on these subjects should submit comments in writing to this office before the start of the December 18, 2014, meeting (preferably by 4:30 p.m. on the day before). Any request to make an oral presentation at the meeting should be submitted in writing to this office on or before December 8, 2014.
