The Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission is proposing a new rule establishing the process and procedure for awarding grant funds for the Education and Training Grant. The purpose of this grant is to provide funds to assist secondary and post-secondary institutions that offer education and training, primarily in the field of vehicle service and maintenance, in improving their training programs with the goal of growing the available workforce for the future. Nationally and in state, the motor vehicle industry is faced with a shortage of available trained technicians. This rule sets out the procedures and guidelines for distributing the grants. Comments on the proposed rule may be made at a public hearing to be held at 9:30 am on December 16, 2015, in the Commission office at 101 East Capitol, Suite 204, Little Rock, AR 72201. Written comments may also be submitted via mail to the above address or via email to crystal.campbell@arkansas.gov and must be received by 4:30 pm December 18, 2015. The Arkansas Cemetery Board will hold its fourth quarterly meeting on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. in the Fourth Floor Hearing Room of the Arkansas Securities Department, 201 East Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas. Said meeting will be conducted pursuant to the Arkansas Administrative Procedures Act, the Cemetery Act for Perpetually Maintained Cemeteries and the Rules promulgated there under.
