NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (Commission) will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., at the Commission offices located at 101 E. Capitol Avenue, Suite 350 on the matter of approving Beaver Water District's Water Plan Compliance application, No. 2014 05 07 - 001.
The project consists of the review of their 2006 Regional Growth Study which outlines the expected improvements that will be needed from 2006 - 2055. The Commission staff has reviewed the application and the documents submitted in support thereof and will recommend to the Executive Director that the project will result in orderly development and management of the State's water resources, because it will allow Beaver Water District to continue as a regional water supplier in Benton and Washington Counties.
The hearing will be conducted by J. Randy Young, Executive Director of the Commission, or his designee, under and by authority of A.C.A. sec. 15-22-503 and the Commission's Rules for Water Development Project Compliance with the Arkansas Water Plan.
All interested persons will be given an opportunity to respond to the application and to the staff's recommendation. You can appear at the hearing in person or by counsel, and present evidence with oral arguments. Written comments can be sent to David Fenter at the Commission Offices until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2014.
