The regular monthly meeting of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Little Rock Office Complex, 2 Natural Resources Drive, Little Rock, AR 72205. At that time, regulations and business pertaining to the operation of the Game and Fish Commission and other fiscal and administrative matters will be considered and acted upon, and all interested persons are invited to attend. Additionally, Committee meetings attended by Commissioners and agency staff members will be held throughout the day on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the same location, and all interested persons are invited to attend.
Items on the agenda for the January 19, 2017, 9:00 a.m. meeting will include adoption of proposed regulations that previously were considered at the December 15, 2016, Commission Meeting, plus various Hunting and Fishing Regulations and regulations pertaining to the Enforcement Division of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, including but not limited to:
1. License Regulations – Adoption and revision of regulations related to the possession and sale of licenses, including, but not limited to:
•Adopt a definition of “AGFC License System.”
•Revise existing regulations related to counterfeiting, backdating, or altering licenses; obtaining or selling a license based on false information; and charging unauthorized license fees.
•Allow electronic proof of licenses, permits, stamps, and education certificates.
•Require a valid License Dealer Permit issued by the Commission from the Chief Fiscal Officer to sell AGFC licenses, permits, tags, or stamps.
•Adopt application requirements for AGFC License Dealer Permits.
•Adopt regulations related to the transfer, removal, suspension and revocation of AGFC License Dealer Permits.
All persons wishing to be heard on these subjects should submit comments in writing to this office before the start of the January 19, 2017, meeting (preferably by 4:30 p.m. on the day before). Any request to make an oral presentation at the meeting should be submitted in writing to this office on or before January 9, 2017.
