Pursuant to Arkansas Code Annotated 11-10-307, for the purpose of giving the public an opportunity to be heard, a public hearing will be held in Conference Room #137, Department of Workforce Services, #2 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, Arkansas. The hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on September 5, 2014.
The hearing is to allow the public to comment on proposed amended Department of Workforce Services Regulation No. 27.
The purpose of the proposed amendment of Regulation 27 is to establish a twenty (20) day time period in which an employer may timely request an administrative determination of coverage and administrative hearing under Arkansas Code 11-10-308(a) and to also provide notice that after the twenty (20) day filing period has lapsed there is a rebuttable presumption that the request is untimely filed and therefore, may result in a denial of a hearing on the merits.

Miller County is currently updating the county's All-Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan, submitted to FEMA and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management every five years, establishes the procedures that elected officials from Fouke, Garland, Texarkana, the Fouke School District, the Genoa Central School District, the Texarkana School District, and Miller County will follow to protect citizens in the event of a natural disaster. The public hearing will cover the scope of the Plan, the sources of data to be used, the Plan approval process, and the timeline for completion.
The public meeting will be held at the third floor courtroom of the Miller County Courthouse on August 14, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Citizens of Fouke, Garland, Texarkana, and Miller County are encouraged to attend and take part in this planning process.

The Southwest Arkansas Regional Solid Waste Management Board (SWARSWMB) consists of six (6) counties: Calhoun, Columbia, Dallas, Miller, Ouachita, and Union. Take notice that on June 11, 2014, a petition was filed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services in the Circuit Court, Juvenile Division, of Craighead County, Arkansas, to terminate parental rights as to the following juveniles: Ziva Williams, DOB: 7/29/11, and Jaxson Grisham, DOB: 4/4/13. Such declaration could result in termination of your parental rights. A putative parent must prove that significant contacts existed with the juvenile in order for the putative parent's rights to attach.
A hearing on the petition to terminate parental rights is scheduled for August 28, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. at the Craighead County Courthouse, Jonesboro, AR. If you desire to be represented by an attorney, you should immediately contact your attorney so that an answer can be filed for you and he may appear with you at any hearing. If you cannot afford an attorney, you may obtain one by contacting Legal Services or requesting the Court appoint you an attorney.
NOW, unless you appear and defend or otherwise respond within thirty days from the first date of publication of this notice, the Petition may be taken as confessed, and a decree entered and granted or you may be otherwise barred from asserting your interest in this matter.
