The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration, will conduct an open forum Location and Design Public Hearing to discuss the proposed location and design for a widening project on U.S. Highway 67. The Location and Design Public Hearing will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Jacksonville Community Center (Banquet Hall), located at #5 Municipal Drive in Jacksonville.
The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) is proposing to improve 2.25 miles of Highway 67 between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard, including interchange improvements at Main Street, James Street, Gregory Street, and Vandenberg Boulevard in the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County.
The open forum format allows concerned citizens the opportunity to meet with representatives of AHTD, view the proposed location and design, and ask questions concerning the proposed project. Information on the environmental documentation will be available at the hearing.
A copy of the Environmental Assessment and the proposed design plans are available for public inspection at the AHTD’s District 6 Office, located at 8900 Mabelvale Pike in Little Rock; at the AHTD’s District 6 Resident Engineers Office #61, located at 803 Eureka Garden Road in North Little Rock; at the Jacksonville City Engineer’s Office, located at #1 Municipal Drive in Jacksonville; or by contacting the Connecting Arkansas Program at 501-255-1519. The comment form will be available at the above locations, on the AHTD website (www.arkansashighways.com), and the Connecting Arkansas Program website (www.ConnectingArkansasProgram.com) following the public hearing.
