Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held before the Pulaski County Court, on the question of the issuance of not to exceed $22,000,000 in aggregate principal amount of Industrial Development Revenue Bonds (MISO Project), in one or more series (collectively, the "Bonds"), by Pulaski County, Arkansas (the "Issuer") under the authority of Arkansas Code of 1987 Annotated Title 14, Chapter 164, Subchapter 2. The Bonds will be issued for the purpose of assisting Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (the "Company") in financing the costs of acquiring, construction, equipping and installing certain industrial facilities generally described as land, buildings, improvements and machines and equipment related to the Company's business of operating as a Regional Transmission Organization to be located at 1700 Centerview Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. As an RTO, the Company fulfills certain reliability, market operation and planning functions for the high voltage electricity grid entrusted to it by its members, including several in Arkansas. Any person interested may express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed issuance of the Bonds before the Issuer, on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., in the Conference Room on the Fourth Floor of the Pulaski County Administration Building, 201 South Broadway, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201. The Arkansas Economic Development Commission Energy Office (AEO) is in the process of adopting rules for the Arkansas Energy Performance Contracting Program established in Act 554 of 2013. The purpose for this rule is to establish policies and procedures that will govern the program that is to be administered by AEO.
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission is soliciting comments on the proposed rules filed with the Secretary of State on March 21, 2014.
