Public Notice
The City of Highfill plans to submit an Arkansas Community and Economic Development Program Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Improvement Grant application to the State of Arkansas. These funds are intended to improve public wastewater facilities primarily for areas of Low or Moderate income.
The application being considered would request $500,000 for the extension of the Highfill wastewater system downtown Highfill. It is estimated that more than 54% of the funds would benefit low and moderate-income persons.
A public hearing will be held at the Highfill City Hall/Council Chambers, on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 6:30 pm at the HIghfill City Council meeting to obtain citizen views and to respond to questions related to the proposed project.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by March 31, 2015 at Highfill City Hall, 15036 W Hwy 12, Gentry, AR 72734. Oral and written comments will be considered in deciding whether to submit an application for the proposed project.
Written summary information will be available at the Highfill City Hall, 15036 W Hwy 12, Gentry, AR 72734 from March 31, 2015 until April 15, 2015. Notice of Scheduled Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held in the Quorum Courtroom of the Courthouse Annex Building located at 1414 Highway 65S, Clinton, Arkansas, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, on the question of the issuance of Arkansas Development Finance Authority ("ADFA") Economic Development Revenue Bonds (the "Bonds") in an amount not in excess of $3,000,000 under the provisions of Act 1062 of the Acts of Arkansas of 1985 as amended (the "Act").
The proposed economic development revenue project to be financed will consist of the refunding of the acquisition costs and the renovation of manufacturing facilities for Global Foods Group, Inc. which manufactures and provides refrigerated storage of frozen specialty foods (the "Project"). The owner, operator and manager of the Project shall be Global Foods Group, Inc. The location of the Project shall be 245 Quality Drive, Clinton, Van Buren County, Arkansas.
Any interested persons may appear at the public hearing at 11:00 a.m. on the 11th day of March, 2015 in Clinton, Arkansas, to be heard for or against, and suggestions will be heard and considered. NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by the City of Highfill, Arkansas (the "City") that the City proposes to issue its Water and Sewer Revenue and Sales and Use Tax Refunding Bonds in the maximum principal amount of $5,000,000 for the purpose of refunding the City's (a) Sales and Use Tax Bond, dated June 27, 2001; (b) Water Revenue Bond, Series 2004A; (c) Water Revenue Bond, Series 2004B; (d) Water Revenue Bond, Series 2004C; and (e) Sales and Use Tax and Sewer Revenue Bond, dated August 14, 2006. The bonds will be payable from (1) collections of a 1% sales and use tax levied by the City under Ordinance No. 95-3, adopted July 12, 1995, (2) collections of a 1% sales and use tax levied by the City under Ordinance No. 02-06, adopted June 24, 2002 and (3) revenues derived from the operation of the City's water and sewer (combined) system.
