Pulaski Technical College closed after threat overheard

— Pulaski Technical College closed classes this morning, evacuating its campuses, after a student reported over-hearing a shooting threat made by other students.

During a 9:20 press conference from the North Little Rock campus, a police spokesman said a 911 call was receive at 11:30 p.m. last night from an unknown person. The person, calling from a payphone on West Broadway in North Little Rock, said they overheard a coversation between two white males saying what they were planning would be worse than Virginia Tech, the spokesman said.

There are no reports of arrests or any violence at the school at this time.

Pulaski Technical College is located in North Little Rock and has a headcount enrollment in college credit programs of 8,455 students.
