FAYETTEVILLE Nutt announced his resignation as head football coach at Arkansas in a news conference Monday night in the Raymond Miller Room of the Broyles Athletic Center.
Nutt said he spent a mostly sleepless night with his wife, Diana, wrestling with the decision before calling Chancellor John White on Monday morning.
"After a lot of serious considerations and discussions with my family, I called Chancellor White and turned in my resignation," Nutt said. "I can't thank Coach [Frank] Broyles enough when, 10 years ago, he called and said, 'Here are the keys to the University of Arkansas.'"
