LITTLE ROCK — An Italian street festival Sept. 26 on the parking lot at Boulevard Bread Co. featured Boulevard's special Italian pizza and raised money for Accademia dell'Arte, a study-abroad program for the performing arts located in Arezzo, Italy.
Amici dell Arte, a local group led by managing director Linda Brown, raises scholarship funds for the program. The group has raised $15,000 for scholarships this year.
Although the school is accredited for undergraduate students at Hendrix College in Conway, it is attended by students from allover the world.
Scott McGehee is founding and resident director of the school (he is the uncle of Scott McGehee at Boulevard), and Donna Cone is president of the friends group. Other membersof the Amici dell Arte advisory committee hosting the festival were Pam Banks, Lisa McNeir, Sandra Marbaise, Jane McGehee Wilson, Greer Grace and Cindy Murphy.
