KIMBERLY LAUREN KERN STEPHEN WILLIAM HAMBLIN

— Kimberly Lauren Kern and Stephen William Hamblin were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in Geyer Springs First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Hughey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Kern, 11 Fox Run Drive. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kern of Locust Grove, Okla., and Velma Risner of Pryor, Okla.

Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. David Hamblin of Grain Valley, Mo. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Armstrong of Oklahoma City and Allen Hamblin of Dallas.

The lobby arrangement was of brightly colored handmade tissue paper flowers. A curtain of white paper flowers decorated the back of the chancel. Music was by pianist and vocalist Riley Kern and vocalists Audra and Cassie Rial, all cousins of the bride.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with a halter neckline embellished with beading. Her veil was edged with satin ribbon. She carried a nosegay of handmade flowers.

Dr. Brandy Utter of Winston-Salem, S.C., was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Maradee Kern of Houston and Melissa Kernof Little Rock, sisters of the bride; Mrs. Wesley Heltz of Little Rock; Mrs. Samuel Atcherson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Mrs. Jeremy Good of North Little Rock; and Mrs. Michael Frisby of Strong. They wore cocktail-length dresses of coral cotton with bateau necklines and pleated skirts. Their bouquets matched the bride's.

Best man was Jeremy Good of North Little Rock. Groomsmen were Michael Hamblin of Dallas, brother of the bridegroom; Brad Henderson of Joplin, Mo.; and Robert Hill of Dallas. Guests were seated by Ben Utter of Winston-Salem, Wesley Heltz of Little Rock and Matthew Frick of New York.

The church's fellowship hall was decorated in bright colors with paper flower bouquets as centerpieces and large tissue paper pompoms hanging from the ceiling. Music was by pianist Marian Kern, aunt of the bride.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in studio art from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. She is a craft designer for Leisure Arts magazine. The bridegroom has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is an electrical engineer at Molex Inc.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a honeymoon in Asheville, N.C.
