LIVE MUSIC: Rose Hill, Little Brazil rolling in

— Rose Hill Drive, a Colorado rock trio, returns to headline a club show this week, at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sticky Fingerz Chicken Shack, 107 Commerce St., Little Rock.

The Boulder threesome, which opened a March 22 Alltel Arena show for The Who, is composed of brothers Jake and Daniel Sproul and their high school pal, Nate Barnes. The band has also opened shows for Wilco, Robert Randolph and Queens of the Stone Age and performed at Bonnaroo, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Austin City Limits Festival and on the Warped Tour.

Little Brazil, an Omaha, Neb., rock group that sings in English, will perform at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the White Water Tavern, West Seventh and Thayer streets, Little Rock.

Little Brazil recently released a second album, Tighten the Noose, in the tradition of other indie Omaha-area performing or recording bands, including The Shins, Cursive, Death Cab for Cutie and Rilo Kiley.

The band was formed in 2002 by lead singer Landon Hedges and bassist Danny Maxwell, after Hedges' stint with the Connor Oberst offshoot group, the Desaparacidos and the Tim Kasher-fronted The Good Life.

The band has opened shows for Cursive, Tegan & Sara and The Statistics.

Three high-powered, allages shows are coming this week to Juanita's, 13th and Main streets, Little Rock.

Drowning Pool will headline Tuesday, with the 9 p.m. show opening with 13X and Silverstone. Tickets are $15 in advance, $17 the day of the show.

Blind Side headlines Wednesday, with the 8 p.m. show opening with Edison Glass and Drennan Scott House. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 the day of the show.

Powerman 5000 headlines Thursday, with the 9 p.m. show opening with Sychosis and Drop Dead Syndicate.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $17 the day of the show.
