Muralist to discuss Conway project

CONWAY - As part of his ongoing residency, public artist Morton Brown will present another illustrated lecture on the Conway Community Mural project on Tuesday.

The lecture, part of the University of Central Arkansas's College of Fine Arts and Communication's Artists in Residence series, will be at 1:30 p.m. in McCastlain Hall Room 143. It is free and open to the public. The lecture follows the recent unveiling of the historically themed, 26-by-36-foot mural on the south side of Conway City Hall facing Simon Park.

The mural's theme of children playing with a train set featuringthe historical buildings of Conway educational institutions celebrates the relationship between those institutions and the city.
