GDX automotive parts plant in Batesville to close, television station reports

— The GDX plant in Batesville that makes automotive parts and employs hundreds will close its doors, according to an online report by KTHV television news.

A press conference is expected later tonight according to reports.

The plant employs approximately 300.

A plant owned by GDX in Wabash, Indiana that employs about 800, which is in a similar situation as the one in Arkansas, is scheduled to close in November. An announcement of an expected close date for the Batesville facility has not been announced.
