Education committee presents program to students

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce's education committee presented the Arkansas Scholars program to more than 370 Russellville Junior High School students.

This program is designed to encourage students to continue to strive toward the goal of becoming a designated Arkansas Scholar. Qualifications for being awarded the Arkansas Scholar designation include: maintaining a 95 percent attendance rate and a C average or above in ninth through twelfth grades, completing their high school career in eight consecutive semesters,and completing the core curriculum to graduate.
