KELLEY KIRKSEY "KIRK" GREENE of North Little Rock literally moved from the hands of his wife, mother, and sister Victoria to those of his father, kin, and friends in a gentle sleep. He breathed his last at 9:30 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2007, after only an 11 month battle with pancreatic cancer. As a "Monday's Child" born March 3, 1969, he was not only "fair of face" butwith a giant-sized heart. As his sister, Torre, once stated, he could depart aplane in the most remote region of the world and there would be someone who greeted him with, "Hey, Kirk, how's it going?"

Survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Mathis Greene; son, Kaleb Dalton Greene; mother, Gaye(Stormes) Greene; brothers George David Greene and James Garrett Greene; and sisters Victoria "Torre" Rayburn Greene and Mary G. Smiley. He packed his 38 years of lifetime tightly with relatives and extended family he always held dear. He was especially close to his Uncle Mike Stormes and family. He lost his father, David Roger Greene, to cancer exactly a year ago this month.

On a trip to Washington, D.C. at 10 years old, he met Ray Scott on the plane, who then invited him to Senator Pryor's office, and later with his sister, Victoria, met Mrs. Sadat and Mrs. Begin on that historic 1979 peace trip.

Kirk worked in the Explorer program at the Little Rock Zoo, amassing thousands of hours in volunteer work, hugging baby snow leopards and knowing his God after being attacked by a tayra and surviving.

He loved theatre and during the Rand Hopkins years at The Arkansas Art Center, won hearts as a workhouse boy in "Oliver" and later had a role in the "Hobbit." He believed in the magic of theatre and life.

Schooled at St. Patrick's and Catholic High School, he then lived in the Colorado ski country and the Mardi Gras New Orleans with his West Coast family rounding out his travels.

His greatest moment and joy in life came with the birth of his son, Kaleb now almost 14 and living light-years into the future with his mother, Monica Beavers Ritchie and second father, Michael (Guido) Ritchie, who has guided Kaleb in his love for music with Bass lessons. Kirk saw Kaleb gain second chair status in the Arkansas 2007 Southern All Region Symphony Orchestra - moving from the successful foundation of Teacher's Pet pre-school to a joy of learning for his lifetime.

Kirk loved animals, people and adventures (even the mis-adventures), but along the way, he never forgot a friend or a kindness to him. He never spoke ill of anyone. If he loved you, it was forever. No one walked through Kirk's life without being touched. He was our heart and we will miss his light sorely.

A memorial service to remember Kirk will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Services conducted by North Little Rock Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Online obituary and guest register at www.nlrfh.com.

MARGARET MARIE BREAZEALE MUNCY, age 89, of Little Rock, formerly of Hot Springs, died October 23, 2007, of congestive heart failure. She was born on May 3 , 1918, to the late Roy Allan and Nell Jones Breazeale of Wichita Falls, Texas. The family moved to Fayetteville, Ark., in 1919 where she was raised and graduated from University High School and attended the University of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leander Jennings Muncy in 1996, and by a daughter, Donna Eubank (husband,Taylor survives) in 2001.

She is survived by her two sons, Lee, Jr. ( Peggy ) of North Little Rock, Allan of Little Rock; and a daughter, Linda Clinton (Dick) of Little Rock. She is alsosurvived by 10 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren; a brother, Bill Breazeale of Fayetteville; and a sister, Geraldine Hasson of San Antonio, Texas.

She was a long-time, very active member of the First Baptist Church of Hot Springs where she taught a youth Sunday school class for as long as anyone can remember. About the time she turned 80, she was tasked by the church to visit the "old" people (her phrase; delivered, as always with a laugh), elderly church members who were unable to regularly attend Sunday Services. She married Leander, on December 31, 1938, and the family lived throughout the United States - ending in Hot Springs - as he served in various posts as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

She enjoyed golf, Bridge, good books, good cheese, a nap every afternoon of her life, and having the entire family at home for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Morning coffee was not optional. She was very much a part of the 21st Century, perhaps proudest of her ability to - unassisted - use a laptop computer daily to transmit her vital signs to her health care provider.

Because of her extraordinary ability to maintain a positive attitude, she overcame a broken hip on two separate occasions (only about 1/3 of her age group live through) and continued to live alone and drive up until the last year of her life.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Chapel of Ruebel Funeral Home with Dr. John McCallum officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock or Heifer International of Little Rock. Arrangements by RuebelFuneral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.

ASHDOWN - Sheldon Madden, age 81, of Ashdown, Ark., passed awayearly Wednesday morning. He began working at a young age. He worked for Leonard Swint at a local garage to make money for his family. Working for family was a consistent theme in his life. In 1943 he graduated fromhigh school in Hall Summit, La., and went to Shreveport to find employment. In 1944 he met his wife, Ruby, while working for Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport. Ruby was waiting for her aunt to be transported to a hospital in Dallas. She agreed to ride along with Sheldon on the trip and they were married within a few months. He was drafted that same year into the army and returned from Europe in late 1945. Sheldon then finished his degree in mortuary science at Commonwealth Institute in Houston, Texas, and began his career in funeral directing. After working for Rose-Neath, he held positions at First National Funeral Homes in Opelousas, La., and Natchitoches, La. He also served as a funeral director at several Kilpatrick Funeral Home locations in north Louisiana. While managing the funeral home in Natchitoches, he began his own saw mill and railroad crosstie businesses. In January 1959, he moved his family to Memphis and worked as a salesman for Lufkin Trailers. Sheldon was the number one salesman in the entire trailer division and traveled cross-countryon business frequently. In 1962, he opened his own trailer manufacturing plant, Madden Manufacturing, in Ashdown, Ark., and sold the trailers in West Memphis before deciding to move his family to Ashdown in 1963. Being a self-made businessman, he was always looking for the next business opportunity and purchased Phillips Funeral Home in August 1966 and later changed the name to Madden Funeral Home. Insurance always fascinated Sheldon, and in April 1970 he acquired Howard Burial and Life Insurance Company from his friends H.H. and Nola Howard. After renaming the insurer Guaranty National Insurance Company, he worked hard to grow "his little insurance company" and traveled almost constantly to recruit agents and funeral homes to sell his products. First Guaranty Insurance Company, as it is known today, is still owned by the Madden family and has grown into a multistate insurer as a result of Sheldon's efforts. Throughout his successes, he always helped others and made significant contributions to such causes as FFA, Shriner's, Arkansas Children'sHospital, St. Jude's, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He also served on the boards of Little River Memorial Hospital and Little River Nursing Home for 27 years.

Survivors include his wife Ruby; his son and daughter-in-law Jack and Rosemary Madden of Ashdown, Ark.; three sisters, Bernice Box of Coushatta, La., Lucille Hicks of Texarkana, Texas, and Helen Eichelberger of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law, Jack & Paula Madden, David & Amy Madden, Diane & Kirk Babb, and Lynda & Ward Cobb all of Ashdown, Ark.; six great-grandchildren, Jennifer Cowling, Heather Rae Madden, Boyd Kennemore, Zayne Madden, Hudson Madden, and Maddox Cobb; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Cowling and Judd Kennemore.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Madden Funeral Home. Funeral services will be heldFriday, 2 p.m., at Madden Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Ashdown Memorial Gardens; Rev.
