LITTLE ROCK — Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodlebop can't quite rival the popularity of Hannah Montana, but the trio of Kool-Aid-colored, alien-looking rock musicians has a daily show on the Playhouse Disney channel and a sizable following among the pre-school set.
North Little Rock's Alltel Arena will host Doodlebops Live! at 3 and 6:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $15.75 to $42.75 and available at Ticketmaster outlets or by calling (501) 975-7575.
Canadian television is where the Doodlebops originated and parents who know the group might be reminded of the psychedelic '70s kid show H.R. Pufnstuf.
The Doodlebops are often found in Doodlebop Central or on their bus, driven by Bus Driver Bob. As with all children'sprogramming these days, the Doodlebops offer up gentle lessons along with the music and silly jokes.
