WALDO — Waldo police arrested six people after receiving a call about suspected dog fighting.
Police say when they arrived to the home, they found six people standing on hay bales beside a barn arranged as a dogfighting pit. Police say two pit bulls were fighting in the pit.
Officers arrested the dogs' owners and the homeowner on felony unlawful dog fighting charges and arrested three other people on misdemeanor charges.
Police say they captured one of the dogs, but the other one escaped.
