CAC clinches No. 1 seed

— Central Arkansas Christian clinched a share of the 7-4A title and a No. 1 playoff seed with a 31-12 victory over De Queen on Friday night on Mustang Mountain.

Mustangs (7-1-1, 6-0 7-4A) were led by senior quarterback Drew Stringfellow, who completed 21 of 30 passes for 326 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Stringfellow threw scoring passes of 31 and 30 yards to Joseph Adams, 17 yards to John Riley Wilson and 25 yards to Ryan Farr.

Farr finished with nine receptions for 149 yards. His touchdown reception gave CAC a 28-0 lead with 7:09 left in the d quarter.

De Queen (3-3, 4-5) scored its first touchdown on a 60-yard run by Greg White with 5:21 left in the third quarter.

Bryan Ferguson gave CAC a 31-6 lead on a 27-yard field goal with 9:01 left in the game.

De Queen closed out the scoring on a 80-yard pass from Bryce Smith to Jamario Ervin with 8:07 left.

CAC dominated the statistics, finishing with a 417-241 advantage in total offense.

Adams rushed 9 times for 41 yards and caught 2 passes for 84 yards.

White ran 11 times for 86 yards to lead the Leopards.
