LITTLE ROCK — Sixteen students attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville have been awarded scholarships by the Sigma Chi House Corporation Scholarship Committee for the 2007-08 school year.
They are given to active Sigma Chi Fraternity members at the university and total $24,000 this year, said committee Chairman William B. Sigler.
Scholarship recipients are:
Nathan Waldrip of Moro, Jack F. See Jr. Scholarship, $2,000.
Michael Hyatt of McGehee, William I. Rainwater Scholarship, $2,000.
Christopher Poff of WestMemphis, Harold E. Meeks Scholarship, $1,000.
Tripp Hollowell of Helena-West Helena, Gus Blass II Scholarship, $2,000.
Nick Thicksteen of Little Rock, B. Alan Sugg Scholarship, $2,000.
Jason Smith of Poplar Grove, E. Ray Kemp Scholarship, $1,000.
Brent Johnson of Quitman, William I. Rainwater Endowed Scholarship, $2,500.
Lance Johnson of Gillett, William I. Rainwater Endowed Scholarship, $2,500.
Nate Looney of Jonesboro, William I. Rainwater Endowed Scholarship, $2,500.
Calvin Puryear of Gillett,William I. Rainwater Endowed Scholarship, $2,500.
Christopher Hall of Jonesboro, Sigma Chi Endowed Scholarship, $1,000.
Jimmy Watson of Dallas, Cole Bechtelheimer Memorial Scholarship, $1,000.
