Arkansans get into home swapping

With their preference for Italy, the Roitzes would hit the jackpot if they could convince the owners of this villa, listed through Home Exchange in Castiglione Del Lago, Italy, to swap homes with them next summer.
With come-ons constructed around Jacuzzi tubs and bedroom occupancy, a revival of swapping, that disco-vintage entendre, and the strict insistence on the online posting of recent photos - the home-exchange concept sounds kinda, well, hot.
And Home Exchange, the 15-year-old service that has already inspired a randy movie starring Cameron Diaz and Jude Law (last year's "The Holiday"), totally eggs on the "your place or mine?" groove: "Think of home exchange," the company's Web site purrs, "as Internet dating for your home."
For Arkansas families - or at least the eight households who have listed their homes for swapping - the service is a blend of the homey and the hip, a pragmatic but thrilling way to see the world and display hospitality in absentia at the same time, reports .
