Senior activity centers to honor volunteers

BRYANT - The Central Arkansas Development Council Bryant Senior Activity Center will honor its volunteers at an appreciation ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2.

The ceremony will be held at the CADC Bryant Senior Activity Center at 702 SW 4th St. The public is invited to attend.

The Central Arkansas Development Council Benton Senior Activity Center will honor its volunteers at an appreciation ceremony at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, April 30.

The ceremony will be heldat the Central Arkansas Development Center Benton Senior Activity Center at 210 Jefferson St. The public is invited to attend.

According to a release from the CADC, senior centers give older adults support and encouragement to reach new levels of independence, fostering educational and emotional wellness for persons 60 and older. Activities include exercise, social interaction, nutrition, transportation services, recreational events, book clubs, computer training and more.
