Business Boot Camp slated for Sept. 8

ARKADELPHIA - Henderson State University's Small Business Development Center will present a Business Boot Camp in Arkadelphia beginning Monday, Sept. 8. The four-week workshop will address a variety of issues affecting today's small business owner.

On Sept. 8, training will include the Fair Labor Standards Act, effective recruiting and hiring, employee benefits, worker's compensation and drug testing. The Sept. 15 schedule will feature cash flow techniques. On Monday, Sept. 22, the topic will be "guerrilla" marketing techniques, featuring creative and unconventional means. The final session on Monday, Sept. 29, will focus on "smart borrowing."

Each session will be held in the Southern Bancorp Training Room, 601 Main St. in Arkadelphia, from 5:15-8:15 p.m. There is a $40 application fee. Call (870) 230-5184 to register. Seating is limited.
