Hogs vs. Sooners

— The Arkansas Razorbacks jumped out to a big lead early and hung on for a 96-88 victory over the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners (12-1) at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville on Tuesday.

It marked the 42nd consecutive non-conference victory for the Razorbacks at Bud Walton.

The Razorbacks ran out to a huge lead early, punctuated by a dunk from Michael Washington with 13:15 left to play to take a 25-8 lead. It nearly wasn't enough as the Hogs had to hold on late for the victory. Washington finished with a team-high 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Razorbacks (10-1).

Arkansas led 72-47 with 11:52 remaining in the second half, but watched as the Sooners cut the lead to 83-79. The Razorbacks hit their free throws down the stretch, however, and player of the year contender Blake Griffin fouled out with 55 seconds remaining for Oklahoma. Griffin finished with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 3 blocks.
