With an outcome largely expected in favor of two home-state candidates, Arkansans will vote today in an overshadowed presidential primary election.

Polls are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Mike Huckabee and Hillary Rodham Clinton each hopes that Arkansas voters will back a familiar face and boost their respective races for the Republican and Democratic nomination.

Even if voters pull a surprise today, the Arkansas outcome likely will be little more than a blip on the political radar. Twenty-three other states from California to Massachusetts are voting, more than half of which offer more delegates than Arkansas.
