Move over Cancun, tourists seeking true relaxation catch a Pacific breeze in Mazatlan

The room wasn't much, but the view from the balcony was such a postcard. Tall palms framing the blue, infinite Pacific. I instantly forgave the El Cid Castilla Beach's concrete headboards, the chipped marble floors, even the "vacation program" pitch that came before I could even get to my room.
