Hardin bonus in '07 broke law

Trustee gives $100,000 to UCA Foundation as correction

University of Central Arkansas board of trustees member Rush Harding paid the UCA Foundation $100,000 on Friday to reimburse the university for a 2007 bonus paid to President Lu Hardin from public funds.

The University of Central Arkansas Foundation sent the college $100,000 Friday afternoon after UCA administrators realized that a bonus paid to the university's president one year ago was illegally funded with taxpayer dollars.
