A Little Rock man faces a capital murder charge after police say he slammed a 22-month-old girl into a wall, then told officers the girl fell out of bed.

Investigators say Patrick Lynn Sanders, 22, admitted to "slamming" the Jamia Alexander to the ground several times Monday. Police say Sanders initially told officers he found the girl face down on the floor limp when he checked on her after her mother went to the grocery store.
