— 1 Hop to it. Downtown Conway becomes an amphibian-friendly zone during the annual Toad Suck Daze, today-Sunday. The schedule is packed with toad races, music, children's games, softball and basketball tournaments, animals from the Little Rock Zoo and a host of other activities. 2 Bark or purr. Canines and their humans can have a ball at the Delta Trust & Bank Dog Dayz. With free pet photos, special giveaways, a dog show and mutt strut, there will be plenty of dog-friendly activities. If cats are more your style, you can support Feline Rescue & Rehome (FuRR) at its spring yard sale, 7 a.m. until dark today-Saturday. The sale will be set up at the corner of Kavanaugh Boulevard and Cedar Street. Call (501) 838-6923.

3 Sip and spin. The Arkansas Festival Ballet is hosting a special Sleeping Beauty Tea, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, 203 Sologne Court. Guests will have tea with cast members from the ballet's forthcoming production of Sleeping Beauty and can also enjoy photos and craft activities. Tickets are $20, $10 for children under 12. 4 Hum. The Arkansas Symphony Academy and Youth Orchestras will give a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Lake Hamilton High School, 281 Wolfe St., Hot Springs, sponsored by the Hot Springs/Hot Springs Village Symphony Guild. Violinist Samantha Grelen will solo in Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending with the Youth Orchestra and conductor James Hatch. Admission is by free ticket. 5 Snack. Sample some of what Maumelle eateries have to offer at Taste of Maumelle, 5-7 p.m. Saturday. Presented by Rotary Club of Maumelle and the Maumelle Arts Council, local restaurants will offer samples of their menu items while area artists display their wares. Admission is $10, $5 for students kindergarten-12th grade. In addition, The Mizzoula Children's Theater will present a production of Cinderella at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets are $8, $5 for students in kindergarten-12th grade. 6 Look back. The Old State House Museum will "Turn Back the Date to 1838," 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by the Trail of Tears Association, a living history skit, animated short films and academic presentations will focus on the Indian Removal of the 1830s. The museum is at 300 W. 7 Shop. Local artists put their works on display at the annual Cossatot Arts and Crafts Association show and sale, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 12:30-4 p.m. Sunday. 8 Saddle up. Get a taste of the old days when the Stone Hill Ranch presents the Ranch Days Festival, today-Sunday. There will be a ranch rodeo tonight and chuck wagon races Saturday and Sunday, as well as camping, trail rides, barrel racing and family activities. Main events start at 6 p.m. today, 9 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. The ranch is on Arkansas 365 between Palarm and Mayflower. Admission is $10 per day, $5 for children 6-12. 9 Spring up. Main Street Blytheville celebrates the season with its annual Springtime on the Mall, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. In addition to arts and crafts, music and the Cotton Classic Car Club's car display, there will be children's activities including games, a magic show and inflatables. The Westminster Village Dog Show will present awards to pooches in categories including "cutest puppy" and "waggiest tail." General admission is free, though some activities
