SEARCY - Harding University student Joseph Gilbert of Searcy participated in an educational tour of several art and design museums, showrooms and firms in Chicago April 17-20.
Gilbert, a senior majoring in general studies, is one of 35 students who spent three days exploring the city.
The trip is the spring semesterhighlight for fine art, art education and graphic design majors. The group took a three-hour architectural tour in Chicago, visited design firms specific to their majors, toured the Farnsworth House designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and visited the Art Institute of Chicago Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art and local galleries.
