Arrest made in NLR shooting

— North Little Rock police say they've arrested a man over a shooting Friday that left another man dead.

Police say Thomas Jefferson, 24, was arrested Friday afternoon. Earlier that morning, officers say they found the body of James Earl Thomas, 46, inside a home. Five other people were inside the house at the time of the shooting, but they were not injured.

Police say Jefferson faces a capital murder charges and five counts of attempt to commit capital murder. He is being held without bond at the Pulaski County jail.
