Conway County declares Oct. 28 as 'Think Pink Day'

MORRILTON - Morrilton Mayor Bobby Kirby and Conway County Judge Jimmy Hart signed a proclamation to declare Tuesday, Oct. 28, as "Think Pink Day" for Conway County.

Conway County Pink Passion is a group of youths that have formed a relay team. They have all been affected by breast cancer in some way and are dedicated to finding a cure. This group of youths are challenging residents of Conway County to wear pink on Oct. 28 as "Think Pink Day" in honor/memory of each person who has dealt with this disease.

A "Conway County Think Pink" T-shirt is available for $10 to those interested in supporting the day and can be ordered fromany Pink Passion member, by emailing pinkpassion@conwayco untypinkpassion.com, by calling (501) 977-0583 or visiting www.conwaycountypinkpassion.com. T-shirt sizes small through adult 3x are available.

Pink Passion group members are Katelin Roland, Julia Socha, Jenna Socha, Alli Nichols, Emily Nichols, Noah Nichols, Natalie Halbrook, PJ DeHart, Montana Flowers, Lauren Phillips, John Cotner, Cody Coffman, Tyler Chamberlain, Allyson Cody, Catie Pinal, and Chandler Pinal. All funds raised by the sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society through the Pink Passion's Relay for Life team in Conway County.
