— After a burglary in which a thief raided a city safe, Fouke City Hall will be getting an alarm system.

The Fouke City Council voted Thursday to buy the system following the Sept. 18 burglary in which $442 in cash from water bill payments was taken from the city's safe.

Officials say the burglar entered through a back window.

Miller County Sheriff's Investigator Mike Liles says it will be difficult to make an arrest because of the untraceable nature of cash. He says he's asked local store clerks to let him know about any changes in spending habits of regular customers.

Fouke has been in the news lately because it is home to the Tony Alamo Christian Ministries compound that was raided by law enforcement.
