Arts Council sponsoring watercolor painting workshop

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Area Arts Council will provide a beginning watercolor painting workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the BAAC Art Gallery on Main Street.

Cathy Demko, area artist from Hardy, will teach this class. She has taught several workshops in Vermont, Arizona and Florida. She is amember of American Women Artists, Oil Painters of America, Plein Air Artists of Marco and American Society of Marine Artists.

The fee for the class is $50 for instruction with supplies available for purchase in the galleryif needed. Class space is limited, so call (870) 793-3382 to register. Gallery hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.

The council will also host a gourd art workshop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.
