Food, games to highlight Paws for the Cause

MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Stone County Humane Society in Mountain View will host the third annual Paws for the Cause from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bank of Mountain View Park on Main Street.
There will be several contests including pumpkin carving, pumpkin bread/cake, fudge and chili cook-off. Registration for the pet show will begin at 10 a.m. There will also be games, a cake walk, silent auction, pet photo booth, bake sale, and lunch will be served by the Bank of Mountain View. Tickets will be sold for the "pick-a-pony" drawing at 2 p.m.
In the event of rain, the event will be in the EHC Building at the fairgrounds. Proceeds will go to the humane society's shelter building fund. For more information, call Gene and Laura Graves at (501) 746-4500.
