ASU-Beebe offers continuing education course online

— BEEBE - The Arkansas State University-Beebe Department of Continuing Education will offer a new online class through Education To Go titled "Introduction to QuickBooks 2008."

"Introduction to QuickBooks 2008" is taught by Craig Power, a veteran adult educator and small-business owner.

"QuickBooks is the singlemost popular accounting application for small businesses," Power said. "I'm not aware of any other accounting program that has been as successful at packing so many features into such an intuitive, easy-to-use interface."

Following a step-by-step format, students will be instructed in QuickBooks' extensive features. Participants will gain hands-on experience with the chart of accounts, reconciliation, invoicing, managing payables and receivables, tracking inventory, budgeting and more.

Additionally, students can enjoy the convenience and flexibility of an online classroom, which is accessible day or night from home or office. An open Web-based discussion forum provides instructor and student interaction, as well as courserelated question and response information.

The cost of the class is $79. Students may register for "Introduction to QuickBooks 2008," as well as more than 300 other online instructor-facilitated courses, at www.ed2go.com/asub or contacting ASUBeebe's Continuing Education Department at (501) 882-8232 or e-mail Becky Latting at bslatting@asub.edu.
