Man pleads innocent in Arkansan's death

— GAINESVILLE, Mo. - A man accused in the shooting death of an Arkansan in July pleaded innocent Wednesday to charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Jesus Sesena-Murrieta, 27, entered the pleas at an arraignment in Ozark County Circuit Court before Judge John Moody.

Sesena-Murrieta has been held in lieu of bond in the Ozark County jail since the July 20 shooting death of Alonzo M. Foster Jr., 22, of Ash Flat, Ark.

Foster was shot four times at aswimming hole on private property on Lick Creek, a few miles north of the Arkansas line. The property is owned by the defendant's mother-in-law, Alicia Sanders.

Foster was swimming and picnicking with relatives and friends at the swimming hole when he was shot. He was pronounced dead of gunshot wounds about six hours later at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark.

Sesena-Murrieta fled the scene after the shooting, authorities said, and surrendered several hours later.
