Senior centers to offer Osher Lifelong Learning

HOT SPRINGS - The University of Arkansas' Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will offer classes this fall at the St. Joseph's Mercy Health System's Hot Springs Senior Center and Hot Spr ings Village-based McAuley Center.

Osher Institute classes - described as learning opportunities for adults age 50 and older - offer a range of topics, including the arts, history, health, science and a varietyof local and global issues. The fall classes will include "Study Group" learning, a "Dine & Discover" series and "Out & About" days.

For more information regarding this fall's Osher Institute classes at St. Joseph's senior centers, registration and open house events will be held Friday. The events are scheduled for 8-10:30 a.m. at the Hot Springs Senior Center at 210 Woodbine and 11:30 a.m.to 1 p.m. at the McAuley Center at 5010 Highway 7 North.

The University of Arkansas' Osher Institute is one of more than 100 that have been established by the Bernard Osher Foundation since 2002. The Osher Foundation was founded in 1977.
