WARD - A Ward man is accused of sexually assaulting three children between the ages of 9 and 12, the Lonoke County sheriff's office said Wednesday.
William Eugene Howell, 48, was arrested Tuesday on three counts of second-degree sexual assault, four counts of indecent exposure and two counts of third-degree domestic batteryin assaults that authorities said took place in May and July, and in 2004 and 2005.
The children are ages 9, 10 and 12.
The arrest was made after an investigation by the sheriff's office, the Arkansas State Police and authorities in Pennsylvania.
Howell was being held Wednesday at the Lonoke County jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
