Puppet Playhouse to celebrate National Day of Puppetry

— The Puppet Playhouse in the Artisans Gallery in Fairfield Bay will be celebrating National Day of Puppetry beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Puppet Billy De Wolf will headline an open house at thePlayhouse to honor the annual puppet event.

There will be free cookies and beverages, and the show will begin at 11 a.m.

The newer cast member, Dud ley the Magnificent Magicianwill perform a never-before-seen trick where he attempts to hypnotize a "dangerous lion."

The Puppet Playhouse, designed by Bob Holiday and custom-built by Chris Province, is in the Artisans Gallery in the PostOffice building.

The Artisans Puppet Playhouse is affiliated with the Puppeteers of America, who organized the National Day of Puppetry to honor the place puppets have played in history.
